Frequently asked questions

What does my ticket include?

The ticket includes attendance at the conference for the 2 days. Refreshments and lunch on both days is provided, and attendance to the evening dinner on the Friday. If you are bringing a guest include their information on your registration, an additional registration is not needed.

What is the cost of attending?

We are asking for a £50 refundable deposit. · The registration cost is to ensure charitable funds are used carefully and to encourage attendance as Ocular Melanoma UK will be committed to paying for the venue cost.

The deposit will be refunded on receipt of your attendance at the conference.

How do I get to the venue?

The Village Hotel Birmingham Walsall is well placed off the M6, and is approximately 8 minutes from Walsall Station, 30 minutes from Birmingham New Street Station.

Accessibility Requirements

The hotel is wheelchair accessible. When completing your registration, please highlight any specific considerations you have.

Dietary Requirements

The venue is able to cater for dietary requirements. Please ensure your dietary needs are included in the relevant field on the registration form.

Will there be a programme?

Yes, the team are working hard on creating an informative and engaging programme to be released soon. We are looking for arrivals from 9:45am to start around 10:30am on the Friday, and Saturday will be a half day finishing with a late lunch to allow for travel home.

Can I get a refund?

For members – the ticket deposit is refundable on receipt of your attendance at the conference.

If you need to cancel your attendance, you can do this up to 30 days prior to the event date, your deposit will not be refundable after this date.

Is there a group to connect with delegates beforehand?

We’re really keen to make it easy for delegates to connect ahead of time and are currently looking into the best way to do this. We’ll share more details as soon as we can.

Can I bring a guest to the conference?

Yes, your ticket entitles you to bring one guest to accompany you. Please complete the details for your guest when prompted on the registration form.

Is there free parking onsite?

Yes there is complimentary parking at the hotel with plenty of spaces for all. Car park spaces include EV charging spots and blue badge spaces.

Can I claim for travel expenses?

We have limited resources to support with accommodation and travel expenses. Requests will be viewed on a case by case basis.
