Ocular Melanoma October 2025

This October, Ocular Melanoma UK is launching Ocular Melanoma October 2025 – a nationwide awareness campaign for ocular melanoma, a rare and serious form of eye cancer.

But this campaign is just one part of our work. Every day, Ocular Melanoma UK supports patients and families, raises awareness, funds essential resources, and campaigns for earlier detection and better outcomes.

We are a small charity with a big ambition: to ensure that no one affected by ocular melanoma ever feels invisible or alone.

This Ocular Melanoma October, we want to raise awareness of this rare cancer by coming together to bring Ocular Melanoma into focus. From patient stories to our information page, we want to ensure everyone affected by this rare cancer feels seen, heard and supported. Want to know more about the early signs and how it’s detected? Maybe you want to hear from actual patients? Or you might even be interested in our advocacy work? Explore our online hub using the buttons below!

What is Ocular Melanoma October?

Ocular Melanoma October is our annual awareness campaign where we aim to bring together patients, families, clinicians and supporters to raise awareness about this rare cancer.

October is a special month for us here at Ocular Melanoma UK and each year we celebrate Ocular Melanoma Day on 10 October 2025, recognising and marking the day we were founded back in 2009. On this day we take the chance to celebrate our community, bringing everyone affected by Ocular Melanoma together, whether through fundraising, sharing stories, or raising awareness online and in person.

Ocular Melanoma October aims to:

  • Raise awareness and understanding of this rare cancer
  • Encourage earlier diagnosis and better outcomes
  • Ensure those affected feel seen, heard, and supported
  • Unite the community around a shared cause
  • Establish Ocular Melanoma UK as the leading voice for change

By raising our voices and sharing our stories, we can bring Ocular Melanoma into focus and make this rare cancer a little less rare.
