When is the 2027 London Marathon?

The 2027 TCS London Marathon will be held over two days, for the first time in the event’s history:

  • Saturday, 24 April 2027
  • Sunday, 25 April 2027

This one off expansion, known as the 2027 TCS London Marathon Double, will allow up to 100,000 participants to take part across the two days.

How will the successful runners be chosen?

Right now, nothing changes.

CHEMOSAT is not yet routinely funded on the NHS, and no final decisions have been made.

However, NHS England is actively considering whether eligible patients should be able to access CHEMOSAT through routine NHS funding in the future. This is encouraging progress.

When will I hear whether I have been successful?

The successful runners will be contacted by email. If you have not received an email by 5 August 2026, your application has unfortunately not been successful on this occasion.

What happens if I already have my own ballot place?

You can still choose to run for OMUK. Your place would not use one of our charity entries, and our team can still support your fundraising.

Do I need marathon experience?

No. We are looking for commitment, realistic preparation and a genuine desire to support OMUK. Applicants should consider their health and seek appropriate medical advice before beginning training.
